Made for fast travel under a full head of steam, the Essenshell Jacket and Pullover combine the protective features of an alpine shell (high breathability, wind protection) with the lightweight versatility of a windbreaker. When layered with Regulator R1 or R2 (pp. 17-21), Essenshells provide warmth and excellent moisture transfer. The jacket's strategically placed stretch panels offer mobility and breathability for aerobic ascents; the shoulder yoke is reinforced to resist wear. It has a storm-flapped main zipper and, new this season, water-resistant, zippered handwarmer pockets. The pullover has two pockets and a deep-venting, water-resistant chest zipper.
